Last week I had a chance to twist in my hands one of the first prototypes of the expected novelty - Yotaphone 2.

For a start, what the second generation of the phone is different from the first. The size and resolution of the screen has increased - the new version is 5 ”1080p (it was 4.3” 720p), the new processor is installed: Snapdragon 800 (4x2.3 GHz, against 2x1.7 GHz). In addition, Yotaphone 2 is a more capacious battery (2550 mAh instead of 1800 mAh), wireless charging and NFC support.
The phone became less "brick", the sharp corners were replaced by slick:

The rear screen has become curved at the edges.

And, hallelujah, the camera still moved to the top. Apparently, the chorus of user voices still affected the developers:

Changes touched and buttons.

The power button is now on the side, and the SIM card is now hidden under the volume rocker.
At the top there is only a hole for a 3.5 mm jack:

At the bottom - the holes of the speaker grille and microUSB-plug:

Well, of course, the rear E-ink screen has become a touch:

Now with the help of it you can flip through pages and put likes in Facebook! :)

Unfortunately, as far as I understood from the plans of the developers, they will not be able to fully use only E-ink, as this is not very comfortable for the stock android. However, the phone will have at least a function that will allow you to use the main functions of the phone on the second screen for a few more hours with the remaining 5% of the battery.
