Not valid CSS on The Web Standards Project
From the wordpress.org/about page, I went to the site of The Web Standards Project , an organization that fights for compliance with W3C standards. I looked at what they were writing on their website, flipped through to the footer, there is a link to validation - I clicked for the sake of interest. XHTML 1.0 Strict is fully valid, and for CSS the validator produces the following message :
