Russian officials banned from using iPad

Today, the Russian government has refused to use the iPad tablets, which are manufactured by the American corporation Apple, and switched to the tablets from the South Korean company Samsung.
According to Nikolai Nikiforov, the head of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media, such a decision regarding tablets is technical in nature, and Samsung tablets for officials are “specially protected devices” (alarming for Android for Android is the CPU). Earlier, members of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation used iPads at meetings and conferences.

Nikolay Nikiforov on March 24, in his personal Instagram, stated that the American “siloviki” “put an end to the further use of software and equipment from the United States in the state and near-state sector in Russia”. So the official reacted to the publication of The Wall Street Journal that the American intelligence services, after the failure of intelligence in the Crimea, decided to expand the satellite coverage zone in Russia, Ukraine and the Baltic countries.

And Nikiforov reminded journalists that, in addition to American software manufacturers, there are South Korean and Chinese.
