LG has launched Smart Bulb in Korea - a pair of light bulbs that connects via Bluetooth to Android devices (from version 4.3) and iOS (from version 6).
10W LED bulbs will allow you to control the lighting in the house with your smartphone, and can also flash as a notification when you are called or receive sms. Another feature is the security mode, when the bulbs light up at a specified time and in pre-determined places, if you are not at home, simulating the presence of owners. There is an absolutely useless function for teenagers and those who have nothing to do - Smart Bulb can also play the role of light music, blinking in time with the music playing on the smartphone (support only for Android devices).
According to LG , Smart Bulb will be able to serve their owners up to 10 years, provided they are used up to 5 hours a day. The price of the Smart Bulb is 35,000 South Korean won ($ 32). There is no information about entering other markets. As well as other necessary detailed information about the device, for example, how the light bulbs will react if there are only them in the house and someone calls you, it is unlikely that anyone would want to live in a garland house.

The idea of controlling a home, at least by electronics inside it, from a smartphone, of course, deserves attention. But Smart Bulb is rather a fan and an attempt to remain in the stream of new technologies, than any serious step in this direction. But one indisputable advantage of such light bulbs, of course, is - when you go to bed, there is no need to get out of bed, just a regular click on the phone will be enough.
