The British company
ThruVision presented to the public its new development in the field of security. This is a camera that allows you to “see” through clothes (no, no, not what you thought). The device under the "terminator" name T5000 allows you to capture electromagnetic radiation in the terahertz range, also called T-rays.
This device is by no means a pervert's dream, since it works according to the principle “different objects glow with different brightness,” depending on the material of which the object is made. Thus, explosive items can be distinguished from a piece of clay, and cocaine from a bag of flour. The device allows you to "look" through the fabric, ceramics and even wood. Water and metal are screens that do not allow the T5000 to pry.
The creators used in the development of technology from the field of astronomy: the principle of operation of the device for observing dying stars. The technology will undoubtedly be useful both for military projects and for civilian organizations related to security. Flooded airports, crowds at stadiums, mass celebrations, huge stores - this is where T5000 works. According to the developers, the device is able to detect, for example, weapons and drugs in people who are located at a distance of up to 25 meters.
')
The device is absolutely harmless and has no effect on the organism of a living being. From an ethical point of view, everything is also clean - the camera does not display the anatomical details of a person.
Production and widespread use of the T5000 will greatly facilitate the work of the security services, but it can also become a double-edged sword: British fighters for personal freedoms are already sounding the alarm over the creation of a "total surveillance society." It is known that security issues on the island attach very great importance.
