The crisis has reached the clouds!

New Forrester report “A Better But Still Subpar Global Tech Market In 2014 and 2015” has been released. In it, analysts are in a hurry to announce that the cloud computing market in 2014 will hardly grow by 6%.

WTF?

The report writes that the global economy has begun to rise from its knees, will spend more on mobile, cloud and other “smart” technologies. However, there is little money and the desire will be different from business. Growth of 6% is still an optimistic scenario.

As one of the analysts Andrew Bartels wrote in his blog, the US still holds a 40% share of the cloud services market, but they have lost the trust of their clients by scandalizing the NSA:
  1. Foreign (in relation to the USA) customers will run to other markets;
  2. Sales of software for organizing homespun clouds will grow, in my office, under the table, far from the eye of the NSA;

All concerns about cloud security came true in 2013 — large players expose users' stored data on any request. Despite all the above, in 2015 they promise a double-digit growth.
