Epic Games announced today that anyone can access Unreal Engine 4 for only $ 19 per month + 5% of the cost of each copy of a product made on the basis of UE4.
What do you get for this money:
Ability to develop for PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
Full source code engine.(C ++)
Various blanks, examples of games and content that can be obtained through the store built into the editor.
The system requirements of the editor and engine for PC and Mac platforms are quite severe:
64-bit operating system
Quad-core processor with a frequency of 2.5 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD and above
8GB of RAM (for games maybe less)
')
As for me, this is a very interesting and completely unexpected proposal, but I’m not sure how friendly UE4 is for people who have never programmed in full-fledged languages as judging by the developers in the engine there is no full-fledged scripting engine like UnrealScript, only so-called “visual scripts Which are hardly as functional as UnrealScript.
