The Oktodon project creates a new standard for text input to smartphones. You can help us in preparing the campaign for Kickstarter by answering just 3 questions and spending no more than 5 minutes of time. Your help is important for us, because at Habré our target audience, your advice helps us to make the keyboard the way you want it to be - future users.

If you follow the fate of the project, you can skip the introductory part and go directly to the survey. If you have not heard of Octodon, here is a brief intro:
Octodon is a special case for a smartphone, which is transformed into a keyboard with the help of a number of transformations. On the back of the case there are 8 four-position input elements that allow you to quickly and conveniently work with text on your smartphone. (
More about the project )
Octodon will be suitable for any smartphone (Bluetooth communication), the buttons on the back side are adjusted to the user's hand and can be selected by sensitivity (easier / harder to press). The Octodon keyboard layout can be set by the user, all software will be open and free.
When folded, Octodon increases only the thickness of the smartphone by 5 mm (without changing other dimensions). In the unfolded state for printing, it doubles the width of the smartphone, due to this, the Oktodon is convenient to hold when printing with two hands. Keyboard weight - 55 g.
Achieved print speed - 400 characters per minute (
after 24 hours of practice on the device ).
After 1.5 - 2 hours after the start of work on the Oktodon, the skill of touch typing automatically comes.
Please answer 3 questions.
(From questions 2-4, you choose only one, which is more consistent with your intentions.)
If you have multiple answers, please select the most important for you.
Any comments on the topic are warmly welcome. Also in the comments, please indicate your answer choices, if we forgot to list something.
