Motorola and LG are preparing a smart watch on the OS from Google
Google announced the Android Wear operating system, designed for smart watches, which works almost like Google Now on the wrist, and Motorola and LG announced plans to release devices on this platform, writes The Verge. LG is preparing the LG G Watch, which is likely to hit the market next quarter. The watch will be in a simple plastic square case with an LCD touch screen ( photo ). Motorola introduced the concept Moto 360, it is shown in the photo above and in the video. The company, which will soon be owned by Lenovo, has created a watch in a round case that looks elegant enough for this class of devices. Like other watches on the Android Wear platform, these will support voice commands, show directions and send notifications.
Other partners are listed on the Android Wear website, including HTC, Samsung and Asus. Companies have not yet reported the release date of their devices - only Motorola said that its watches will be available this summer. Technical details, such as battery life, screen resolution and everything else, are still unknown. ')
In theory, all watches will be with a color screen and will receive voice commands. Android Wear also has the necessary APIs for a wide range of sensors, so probably at least some of the watches will support health tracking.
The watch will be able to connect to Android smartphones, so that users will be able to receive all notifications from any phone application on their watch. As for voice commands, with their help, you can, for example, transfer the video to Chromecast or enable a certain song on the phone.
