Ukrainian operator Kyivstar is going to conquer the Internet
According to Tor Havorsen, the executive director of Telenor, his company intends to develop fixed broadband Internet access services in Ukraine based on the Kyivstar subsidiary.
This is reported by the news agency "LigaBusinessInform". In order not to start from scratch, Kyivstar can purchase one of the Internet providers. The broadband access network will be built on the basis of the Kyivstar fiber optic network.
Havorsen also stressed that Ukraine has great potential for wireless broadband Internet access in third-generation mobile networks, but since the Ukrainian government is slow in issuing 3G licenses, Kyivstar will develop fixed Internet.
