A little bit of CeBIT 2014
So, the time has come to show you so far a small piece of CeBIT, the largest international exhibition of information and telecommunication technologies, in which Wicron’s Webot robots are now rolling around.
The exhibition takes place every spring in the city of Hannover (Germany) in a huge exhibition complex with an area of ​​450,000 sq. M.
Let's start our tour from the backyard of the exhibition complex, namely, from pavilion No. 9, dedicated to innovation, research and careers in the field of IT.
In the hall there is a stand of the famous Bundeswehr, where everyone can feel themselves in the shoes of the German military: sit inside a real fighting vehicle, undergo tests for agility and reaction.
In the photo armored car "Fennek", a joint development of Germany and the Netherlands. Shooting inside the car - is prohibited.
A test of agility and reaction is a wall with slender rows of LEDs: just slam the illuminated circles: faster, ... and now even faster!
By the way, the compulsory military conscription in Germany was terminated in July 2011. Since then, the Bundeswehr fully transferred to the contract service. Young people have a big boom.

A huge crowd of spectators is collected by a robot monkey from the company iStruct. It seems that the developers screwed the head to the manipulators only for beauty, this functional part of the body does not carry any functional load.
The “animal” quickly moves on an improvised catwalk, it's a pity that it just does not wave with a tail :(
Not far from the robo-monkey sits a pretty Roboy - a humanoid robot, created, according to the developers, "for a better understanding of human nature." The anatomy of this prototype is copied from the human musculoskeletal system. The robot is able to imitate the simplest movement.
