Helicopter hangar, controlled from the aircraft

In early February, my comrade - the jack of all trades, an electronics engineer specializing in aviation "pieces of iron", made the first installation of a ground control radio system from an aircraft. The installation was made in a very unusual place: the opening "NATO" hangar / shelter for heliports! Do the French. When the helicopter arrives or before its launch, a command is given from the board and the hangar is fully opened, exposing the heliport. At the end of the takeoff / landing, the hangar is remotely closed.

On the picture:
- iron itself in the shield, two photos
- hangar inside
- one of two electromechanical opening / closing drives and a control panel
- hangar outside

Due to the freezing rain, they did not fly over the distance.

Since the system was integrated into a foreign, working body, for coordination it was necessary to install a solid-state relay. The controller outputs do not work with the switch. Made a small adapter and now you can control the change or constant 5-220V.

DU range - 10+ km. ("Amplitude modulation. On the frequency and in the digital you can easily do more, but here I did the aviation standard of remote connection from the aviation radio station").
