A unique video of a volcanic eruption was filmed using a quadrocopter.

Low-cost drones and small, lightweight HD camcorders today provide an opportunity for lovers to shoot unique shots that were previously only possible with expensive long-focus optics or with significant risk to life. These shots were taken with a GoPro camera mounted on a DJI Phantom quadcopter inside the volcano's vent right during active emissions of lava and ash:



Yasur Volcano is located on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu, an island nation east of Australia. This volcano is popular with tourists due to its accessibility (altitude just 361 m) and high activity. It was on it that the movie “Armor of God 3” was filmed.
