The American portal Lycos has announced plans to launch a network video channel for teens, which also includes a “chat room”. The service, called Lycos Cinema, will combine the ideas of the YouTube video resource and the social network MySpace, reports Reuters .
According to Brian Kalinowski, the executive director of Lycos, the service is planned to be presented to the public already in December of this or in January of next year. At the same time it is planned to distribute full-length films with unlimited playing time (this indicator for YouTube is 10 minutes), which visitors can discuss in the forum and chat.
