Vera Hospice Foundation launched its own mobile application

I want to talk about the mobile application that we recently made for the charity fund to help hospices “Vera”.



The Foundation is named after Vera Millionshchikova, the founder and chief physician of the First Moscow Hospice . It was established in November 2006 and quickly became the center of the hospice movement in the country. Today, the foundation is the only non-profit organization in Russia that supports hospices and their patients. The foundation's motto is: “If a person cannot be cured, this does not mean that he cannot be helped.”
Foundation activities:

• Help to the Russian hospices;
• Help for terminally ill children;
• The development of the volunteer movement;
• Publishing;
• Formation of public interest in the problems of terminally ill people.

The application provides everyone a convenient way to help the fund. You can help in different ways - first of all, having made a transfer to the fund’s account directly from the application for any amount. This can be done at any time from a mobile phone account or from a bank card. Another way is to tell your friends on social networks, which can also be done in the application.

The application is available in the markets for the iPhone , Android and Windows Phone , as well as for regular phones with Java support. Periodically, push-notifications will be sent to tell about the activities of the foundation and the news of the project. Now we are working on the binding of a bank card for simplified payment.

In the application, you can not only easily help the fund, but also get thanks for the donation. The idea is to say “thank you” to those people who support the foundation, not only in words, but also with the help of small gifts.



In gratitude, for each donation in the application are awarded bonus points, "dandelions". For accumulated points, you can choose a gift from the fund "Faith" or its partners. The first among them is the [Tsurtsum] cafe in Moscow, to which other restaurants, cafes and theaters should soon join. The Vera Foundation wrote that after the official launch, several companies have already offered to become partners of the project and organize joint actions to encourage the most active users of the application.

Statistics for the first 6 days since the official launch: the application has installed 585 users who have already donated 35,576 rubles from bank cards and mobile phone accounts.
