March 10, we begin accepting applications from students for the
Google Summer of Code 2014 (GSoC) program.

For the past ten years in a row, we have been inviting students around the world not to spend the summer on the warm sea, but to devote 3 months of holidays to working on an interesting open source project under the strict guidance of one of the GSoC participating organizations. This year, we have selected
190 open-source organizations , to work on projects which students and graduate students over 18 will be able to lend their hand.
Last year, more than 4 thousand students from 94 countries of the world sent their applications for participation in
Google Summer of Code . About a thousand students (
37 of whom hail from Russia ) were selected to participate and were able to learn from experienced developers for three months and independently write, test and debug open source code.
