Yandex considered when different organizations work and do not work

Yandex analysts analyzed data on the operating time of almost one and a half million Russian organizations and learned how much it is accepted to work in various industries. And how it differs for different regions of Russia.

The study was conducted on the basis of data from Yandex.Reference Book - the largest catalog of organizations in runet.

The average working hours of Russian organizations (not including round-the-clock) is 9 hours and 50 minutes. The longest working in Moscow (10 hours 31 minutes). Least of all - in the Kaliningrad region (9 hours and 34 minutes).

The working day in Russia starts at 9:00 - at this time two thirds of the organizations are already working. First of all, they rise in the Volgograd region, Tatarstan and the Krasnodar Territory - here one third of all organizations have been operating since eight in the morning, and after nine more than 75% of the institutions have been opened. After all, capital organizations begin to work — only 55% of organizations are open in Moscow at nine in the morning, and even less in St. Petersburg — 41%.

Without 24-hour organizations, it turned out that the longest working day at bowling clubs and cinemas is almost 14 hours a day, and the shortest working day at blood transfusion stations and first-aid posts is less than seven hours a day. Baths and saunas stand out from all-day organizations — regardless of the region, they are almost always open 24 hours a day.

It is noteworthy that most of the 24-hour organizations are not in Moscow, as one might think, but in the Krasnodar Territory. For example, in Sochi, 13 percent of organizations work around the clock. For comparison, in Moscow there are only eight percent. But Moscow is leading in terms of the average length of the working day - 10 hours and 31 minutes.

Among the organizations that are closing for lunch, mostly public institutions - probably this is a relic of the past. Most often, the lunch break is in the passport office, registry offices and post offices. It is interesting that the larger the city, the less often they “have lunch” there: on average, only about 5 percent of organizations close for lunch in regional centers, and 25 percent in small towns.
