The other day the web has information about a very interesting device, which is positioned by its creator as a business card. "Business card" is actually a portable electronic device that allows its owner to play "Tetris". Presumably, the person who receives such a business card for a long time will zaponit the one who handed him such an original device.
The most interesting thing is that the "business card", called Arduboy, is based on Arduino (the name is formed from the words Arduino plus GameBoy). There is everything that is necessary for the game: OLED-display, control buttons and even piezo-dynamics. From the speaker during the game the melody “Korobeyniki” sounds - it is this melody “attached” to the classic version of Tetris. ')
The creator of the device, programmer Kevin Bates (Kevin Bates), is soon going to put his project on Kickstarter. Bates rated his device $ 30, and, as mentioned above, is going to ask for support for his project on Kickstarter.
Of course, right-and-left such a “business card” will not be handed out, but large IT companies are always ready to surprise their customers, and do not spare the funds. Therefore, we can expect the success of the project, which, in fact, is original. The author is going to make the hardware and software of his project open. Of course, the device is hardly suitable for playing the most anticipated games of the year , but Tetris is also nothing. It may well be that a little later, the author will fasten a “snake” with a couple of other popular toys. Then the device will definitely get fame :)
