E7 v2 - addition to the Intel Xeon family

In the model range of server processors Intel Xeon arrived - officially announced the characteristics of twenty CPUs belonging to the top family of E7. The new generation uses Ivy Bridge architecture; as it should be, it is more powerful and energy efficient than the previous ones - compared to the first generation of the E7, the number of cores increased by 50%, and the cache increased by 25%. Particularly pleased are those who have to cheat out “core” tasks - the number of cores has now reached 15, which promises great prospects for parallelization in multiprocessor systems.
