ORANGEMAN: Rusonix distributes servers for free

Hello!

The Orangemen are back in touch! And we continue to distribute servers to good people for good deeds.

Orangeman: Rusonix distributes servers for free
And something cardboard? o_o
')
From the first distribution of servers 9 months have passed. Since then, more than ten enthusiasts and companies have taken part in our Orangeman initiative, putting almost 60 servers, computers and other equipment into safe hands.

We do not stop at what has been achieved and sincerely believe that with your participation we will be able to provide hundreds and thousands of enthusiasts, non-profit organizations and interesting projects throughout the country with equipment!

So, today we want to distribute not much, not enough - 12 servers. All of them really need a careful owner, whom the servers will serve for more than one year.

12 servers for good deeds

Who are we and why are we distributing servers? If you missed everything and did not know about Rusonix and Orangeman’s initiative, here is a very brief summary:
  1. Rusonyx - hosting provider. For thirteen years of work we have accumulated a lot of very different iron. For new tariff plans, we buy new servers with SSD and distribute free old ones.
  2. We carried out the first distribution of servers in the summer of 2013 and, having received more than a thousand applications, we realized that we could not meet the demand for equipment alone.
  3. Orangeman's initiative is our attempt to make the world a better place. We invite other companies to follow our example and pass on their old, but working equipment to enthusiasts, interesting projects, non-profit organizations.
  4. Since then, with the help of enthusiasts and companies that have joined the initiative, we have spent about a dozen equipment distributions in several cities of Russia, in Kiev and New York.

In general, we really give these servers in good hands. Disassemble until you change your mind :)
Of course, there are several conditions, they are quite simple:

Applying for a server is easy. It is enough to write a couple of sentences about what you do and why you are going to use the resulting piece of iron.
Where should i write? Here are four suitable places:

1) Just leave a comment on this post.

or

2) Leave a comment to the distribution in our group on Vkontakte ;
3) Or similarly - in our Facebook group ;
4) Or the answer to our message on Twitter .

Applications are accepted until March 14, but it is better to hurry. The sooner, the greater the chance that they will vote for the application.

According to the experience of previous distributions, we have a difficult choice. Preference will be given primarily to interesting applications that have received the most support from the community. Therefore, even if you do not need servers - vote for worthy candidates with habraplus or like!

And of course, do not forget to subscribe to updates in groups, so as not to miss anything. This is not the first and not the last distribution of the Orangeman this year :)
