Photo excursion to the data center "DataPro Tver", Part 2

The battery capacity reserve provides 15 minutes of load support - this is more than enough for a smooth transfer of the load to the power supply from a diesel generator set in case of a power failure from the main network.

In order to cool the car halls in a separate technical room - a ventilation chamber, Unnelair precision freon air conditioners manufactured by Schneider Electric are installed according to the N + 1 scheme.



Above the air conditioners there are special adjustable hatches through which hot air comes out of the car rooms, which is taken in by the internal air conditioner units.



Cold air from the air conditioner is driven under the raised floor and blown up in front of the front panel of the rack.





The design power consumption of a standard rack in the data center is from 7 kW. If necessary, the heat sink system allows you to install and more loaded racks with power consumption up to 20 kW.

Raised floor height is 1.2 m.





When installing the cooling system, the requirements for limiting the length of freon paths between the blocks to 30 meters and the height difference up to 15 meters were taken into account.

Outdoor air conditioning modules are placed on the roof. The location of DataPro Tver in practically the center of the city implied certain requirements, in particular, on noise reduction. To comply with them, we had to use fans with a lower rotational speed, but at the same time double their number.







In DataPro Tver, the humidity of the air in the rooms is 40-60% at a temperature of + 25 + 2 ° C. These parameters are provided by a unique solution for Russia - the humidification system operating on the adiabatic principle.

The choice of just such a system is explained by the significant savings in operation compared to the classical evaporative humidification subsystem (on an isothermal principle), which is traditionally equipped with precision air conditioners.

The adiabatic humidification system in the DataPro Tver includes pneumatic pumps with nozzles.

The effect of moistening is achieved by spraying the smallest droplets of water into the stream of air through the nozzles. In this solution, there are no high-pressure lines: purified water is supplied to the evaporator, which is driven to the nozzles with air under a pressure of 3 atm. In Russia, this is one of the first implementations of this kind.

In the same room where there is a tank with prepared water for the humidification system, the building's heating system is also located.





The state of the engineering and IT infrastructure of the data center is monitored by the duty shift of the data center.







On the second floor there are office and warehouse premises, as well as a fire extinguishing system and cross rooms.

DataPro data center is fully prepared to receive customers. In the building on the second floor there is an office part, which will allow to place backup or temporary offices as part of the company's business continuity scenario.

A meeting room is provided for meetings.



DataPro takes care of its employees, partners and customers - the kitchen adjoins office space.



The warning system and fire suppression includes all the elements inherent in modern systems of this level. The data center is equipped with a VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) smoke detection system and sensors located in rooms along with 360 degree circular cameras.







The fire extinguishing system includes a set of gas cylinders: a 100% reserve of working gas has been created to extinguish the fire. For fire protection, an effective gas of freon 227 was chosen. In view of the large weight of the cylinders in the station location area, the builders made a special concrete “substrate”.







The fire extinguishing station is closed by wall and ceiling panels that form a closed room.

Fire safety system control is possible both in manual and automatic mode. Two ultra-precise filtering steps eliminate the possibility of false positives.



The data center receives power from two independent city inputs.

In the protected area, located on the back side of the building, a Schneider Electric transformer substation has been installed on the concrete “pad”.



In the immediate vicinity of the transformer substation, 4 diesel generator sets with a capacity of 1,800 kW each are in a state of readiness for launch. For noise reduction, protective covers are used. Continuous operation of the DGS for 12 hours is provided with the necessary fuel supply.







A circuit around the building has a ground system circuit, lightning protection systems, as well as protection against lightning and switching surges, are installed on the roof.

The construction of DataPro data center in Tver is a serious step towards strengthening and developing the Upper Volga region in the innovation sector. It is possible that the presence of such an object will attract investment in the construction of new reliable communication channels in the Tver region, thereby creating hundreds of high-tech jobs in the region.

The second facility in the DataPro network of data centers, which the company has already begun, will be a data center on Aviamotornaya Street in Moscow, with an installed capacity of more than 20 MW. The object area (16 000 sq. M.) Will allow to place about 3000 server racks. Commissioning of the first stage of 400 stands is planned for the summer of 2014.

The last in the top three large-scale projects will be the data center in the near suburbs, which is to be built from the zero cycle. This object is designed for approximately 2500 racks, its installed capacity will be about 20 MW.

Over the next four years, DataPro plans to complete all the work at three sites and link them into a single network that will allow you to process unprecedented amounts of data and deploy the most complex business scenarios.
