Faced with a little problem. On a large, stationary computer, I had Active Desktop, which showed me a specially written page that once a hour gave me a random comic from Comicstrip. With the advent of the laptop, the page for some reason flies to the left and in general is somehow not fixed in width and height.
I spat on everything, put on Yahoo Widgets and wrote my own widget that would show me a comic. This widget did not want to work stably (the comics loaded but did not update by timeout), I chewed on the manuals and forums - the error was not mine, but it didn’t make me any easier.
Attention, the question. Are there any widget type apps that allow web pages to be shown without hemorrhoids (or simply have the functionality of sucking some content into themselves) and are able to refresh? Windows Sidebar does not offer - too small. And I’ll share with you the script for pars comics =)
