Why did GDG Omsk decide to organize the Siberian hackathon
In the Siberian hackathon it will be possible to create any projects using any technologies. For example, you can make a web application, a game for a smartphone or tablet, and write programs for the Raspberry Pi — a single-board computer the size of a bank card. The main thing is the appearance of live and interesting projects for users and the city.

In addition to creating IT projects, the organizers set as their goal the practical development of new and little-known technologies, such as Go, AngularJS, Dart, Rust, Scala, RxJava, Android @ Square, Unreal Engine, Cassandra, Raspberry Pi, Google Glass. Participants can use Erlang, Clojure, Lisp, Brainfuck, Pizza, Chuck and other programming languages.

Organizers prepare a separate surprise for those who like to program micro-controllers. So, at the time of the Siberian hackathon, the authors of interesting ideas will be able to rent a Raspberry Pi Model B with a Bluetooth / WiFi USB module , Android ADK 2012 and other smart hardware. Additional information about all bonuses and surprises for hackathon members is collected in a regularly updated post on the GDG Omsk community blog .

To help participants with the formation of teams and search for really cool ideas, the organizers created a special Idea Moderator .
