Welcome to our blog. Since November last year, when we
wrote about changes in
the Mail.Ru Rating , the service acquired three innovations that we want to tell you today.

Entry points
Our service now provides an opportunity to get a new type of report, in which only two types of transitions to your site are considered:
• by external link,
• as a result of movement of visitors within the site.
')
The information in the report is presented in the form of three columns:
• Links / transitions,%
• Pages / views,%
• Care / transitions,%
At the same time, the central column is the main one, because it depends on what page of your site the user got for the first time, his impression of your brainchild and its further actions depends.

Fine tuning
To support and develop any site, one of the most important issues is determining the most visited pages and sources of visitors to the site. However, depending on narrower tasks, the answers to these questions may be completely different, even when applied to the same site.
A simple example: for someone it is important to divide the visits to the pages of two different news, but for someone it is enough to count only the general attendance of the news section, without a detailed breakdown. The second example is very common: many resources do not distinguish transitions at
www.site.ru and site.ru and do not appreciate the popularity of this or that method.
There are many similarities in assessing site traffic, and each webmaster has his own priorities. To facilitate their work, we have added the ability to select four ways of writing an address for the report, and for each of the methods two settings are available: take into account the difference when writing and in the link. By default, all 8 settings are set to “glue” mode, but if you need more fine-tuning report settings, now you can do it.

New filter in “complex reports”
As you know, according to Pareto's law, 20% of efforts give 80% of the result, or, shifting to our terminology, 20% of the resources, moving from which users will learn about you, form 80% of your audience. And you, as a pragmatic creator, do not care who will evaluate your creation. Accordingly, you should ask two questions: who does go to you, and most importantly, why is he, and not who you need?
And if you can already find the answer to the first question in our "complex reports", then you will have to deal with the second one yourself. But do not be disheartened! Even in such a difficult issue you will not be left without help!
And in order for you to more thoroughly analyze new users, the Mail.Ru Rating has added a new filter to “complex reports”. With this tool, you will be able to analyze in detail the users who referred to you with the help of search engines, advertisements, third-party sites and other resources, and draw appropriate conclusions about the policy of promoting your resource.
We hope that the competent application of the new filter will benefit you!
