Good day, colleagues.
Despite the screaming title and the seeming exaggeration, the problem is really serious. On February 19, information on the fact that Apple, for no apparent reason, blocks development accounts from the Russian Federation with the wording “Apple’s associated with your account” began to come to the iOS application development forums for no apparent reason. that in fact there is a fraud charge. There are already a lot of victims, the applications are very different.
During the discussion of application descriptions, the use of third-party sdk, black methods of promotion, the use of udid, no regularities have yet been found. Some of the blocked applications were abandoned, some active with constant updates, and someone's developer accounts were banned even
without active applications in the AppStore . Now the problem seems very delusional.
Apple customer support says that everything is fine with the accounts, but they don’t have access to the developer part of the accounts. It is recommended to write letters that will redirect to the “Account Termination Team”, to which no one answers (or reply with a reply).
')
The community with iphones.ru decided to open a discussion on the developer forum and write a collective complaint. To do this, all the victims need to write a letter to Apple and tell the Follow-up reference number for collective publishing in one of the following places:
- Branch of the forum on iphones.ru with a discussion of the problem
- VKontakte
- Facebook Community
There is a chance that Apple will hear us.
On the course of the battles I will report updates to this article.
Thank you for attention.
Update 1:The article calls for finding “victims”, trying to solve the problem, and not thinking: “My God, what does Apple do?” It is possible that the reason for blocking is weighty and objective. You just need to find it.
Update 2:The facts of blocking accounts, even without applications, prompted the idea that the reason for financial transactions was the payment of accounts or customized withdrawals. Many have VTB24 cards.
Update 3:Now we consider in detail the content of the violated clause 3.2 (f):
- submitting fraudulent reviews of your own application or any third-party application;
- choosing a name for your application, which is essentially the same as the name of a third-party application in order to mislead the consumer;
- seizure of the application name to prevent the legitimate use of this name by third parties.
Especially funny is the last position in connection with flappy-mania.
Update 4:There are three directions of assumptions:
- possible problems with Russian banks;
- application name conflict, squatting suspicion;
- possible Apple error or the result of hackers.
The fight turns into a routine and drags on. I will write about the results and details in a separate article. Thank you for your concern.
