Samsung introduced the Gear Fit fitness bracelet at # MWC2014

February 24, Samsung announced its first fitness bracelet Gear Fit, the claimed characteristics of which are a cut above all previously presented fitness bracelets.

Gear Fit is aimed primarily at athletes, but has a lot of functions that will be of interest to ordinary people. Like some other bracelets (for example, announced at CES, Jaybird Reign), Fit tracks movement, pulse and sleep patterns.
The main differences with Fit are: water resistance, synchronization with phone notifications, timer, stopwatch and a smooth curved AMOLED screen.

It is worth praising the developers from Samsung who did not shove a camera, a voice recorder or a huge screen into the bracelet.

On the back of the bracelet you can see the LED used to determine the pulse and the proprietary charging connector.

The display of the Fit is its outstanding feature: a curved AMOLED touchscreen display with Samsung-specific bright colors and wide viewing angles.

The curvature of the display allows Fit to smoothly wrap the wrist and have a sufficiently large screen (1.84 inches) to make the text readable and buttons of a size so that you can get a finger across it. Fit is not the first Samsung product with a curved display, but really the first, whose curved display is used to the place.

Fit is much more comfortable to wear than many other bracelets, mainly due to its low weight (only 27 grams) and a thin strap. The rubber strap is replaceable and will be available at the start of sales in three colors (black, gray and orange).

The clasp is made in such a way that it is easy to close with one hand.

The retail price for Gear Fit is still unknown. It will be announced on April 11, 2014, instead of with the start of sales of the device. Analysts agree in price from $ 150 to $ 250.
