Published list of open-source organizations participating in Google Summer of Code 2014

A list of open-source organizations participating in Google Summer of Code 2014 has just been published. Google Summer of Code (abbreviated GSoC ) was first held in 2005, and this year it is held on the anniversary, the 10th time. In honor of the anniversary, Google promised that this year it would take 10 organizations more than ever in the past, and 10% more students than ever before. Thus, 190 open-source organizations were selected this year (since the maximum number of accepted organizations was 180 in 2012).

Students who wish to participate in GSoC may begin to familiarize themselves with the list of organizations . Accepting applications from students this year will begin on March 10 and end on March 21. More information about GSoC (from a student’s point of view) can be found in this topic . The only difference with past years is that the size of the scholarship for students has increased, and now it is 5,500 US dollars .

Great news for KolibriOS this year: we have been accepted! A preliminary list of our ideas at GSoC 2014 can be found here. The list of ideas is not complete - each student can offer his own idea, which he is ready to implement. We will be happy to consider applications from all Habr's students-readers (only they need to be submitted not directly to us, but through the Google Summer of Code website ). Questions about participation can be asked both here on Habré (in the comments to this post), and on our forum . A huge request: do not ask questions in drugs, because physically there is no time for one person to answer everything. Therefore, questions in lichku regarding participation in GSoC will be ignored.
