Mt.Gox CEO Mark Karples resigned on the board of directors of the Bitcoin Foundation

The head of the long-suffering and largest Bitcoin exchange in Mt.Gox, which is located in Tokyo, Mark Karples left his post on the board of directors at the Bitcoin Foundation, an organization that standardizes, protects and promotes the use of cryptocurrency for the benefit of users around the world.

Bitcoin Foundation thanks the management of the Japanese stock exchange "for its early and invaluable contribution to the development of the organization." This decision came into force, and detailed information is expected soon about who will take the vacant seat on the board of directors, three of whom are selectable, and it was one of them that was occupied by the head of Mt.Gox.

Due to recent problems with the withdrawal of funds from the exchange, and the subsequent statements by management about the vulnerability of the protocol, refuted by the developer community, which in response caught the management of the exchange in an attempt to shift responsibility for their own incompetence and / or malicious intent, CoinDesk removed Mt.Gox from its BTC course index , and many members of the community of Bitcoin investors around the world voted for the resignation of Karpls of the Bitcoin Foundation. The subsequent call to the Tokyo office of the exchange remained unanswered, the decision was made in absentia.
