In the United States launched the sale of "smart" pistols, working only with a "smart" watch

In some science fiction films, sometimes a weapon flashes that “knows” only its owner, and does not work if it falls into the hands of a stranger. Actually, this idea has long been wandering in the minds of gunsmiths and the military, and now this idea has been implemented by Armatix.

This company began to supply the "smart" gun that comes with the watch. Between the gun and the clock is a permanent radio frequency identification. Without communication with the clock the gun does not work.

In this case, the gun only works when it is at a distance of no more than 35 centimeters from the clock (a radio tag is built into the clock). The ID itself is individual and is configured by the owner of the gun. Checking whether the gun will work or not is easy - the green LED indicator is on during operation.

The price of the gun itself is $ 1399, the “watch + gun” set is $ 1,798. And yes, the gun itself is a .22 caliber. The weapon is called Armatix iP1. He sells now only in one gun shop in California, USA.

Of course, it does not do without questions like “what to do if the watch’s battery is dead”. Or, for example, if the clock is on the left hand, and the gun is on the right, the left hand is lowered, and the right hand is raised. Will the gun work? Indeed, in this case, the distance between the clock and the gun is more than 35 centimeters.

Nevertheless, the gun has already gone on sale, probably soon we will see all sorts of analogues, perhaps even more "smart".
