My startup is needed or not?

I recently had an idea for my project, but I began to doubt its expediency ...
Today I had the courage and decided to bring the idea to your fair habrasud :)

In short, the idea is this:
each user of the system has its own “desktop” in which the shortcuts are either system utilities (hereafter, an approximate list of them) or links to sites. that is, you click on such a shortcut and in your new window, your favorite site opens, which you added in advance. This part of the system is similar to bookmarking services, but it seems to me that the implementation is more convenient :) all the shortcuts move freely on the “desktop”, as in everyone’s favorite Windows :)

“service programs” include such as an online text editor (you need to transfer excel as well), an email client (yes, there is an Outlook, but all the letters are stored on the server and there is access both from home and from the office and from a friend, etc. .), RSS reader, ICQ-client (the benefits are the same as the mail client + ICQ does not require installation), a dictionary, etc.

+ All sorts of useful blocks of weather, currency, notes, and similar small utilities.
+ some social services.

in fact, the list of services can be expanded indefinitely, it just takes time to implement them.

Here, I ask you to express your opinion, how much this project is needed and what services you consider necessary / unnecessary and what should be removed / added.
