Reflections on the Web and all-all-all ...

Hello, dear habrakrady! After about six months after reading Habr, I still decided to write my first post. I beg

When I moved to the capital, I knew about the Internet only by hearsay, I was interested in computers for general development, and I could not even imagine that after some 5-6 years I would become in my circles of communication (forgive generously! a person who can do with a computer, if not everything, then a lot, or, in extreme cases, tell you where to turn for help. But I am sure that among the population of Habr there are a sufficient number of people who are far superior to me in knowledge, so I gradually turn to the subject that pushed me to write a post.

First question: think about what you use the network for? I am sure that most of the answers will be reduced to the standard list - news, working correspondence, blogs / social networks, communication in ICQ-like programs and forums, and finally, games. Actually, I do not see anything in all this. But what happens when a person turns off the mechanism, which at the right moment says “stop having fun, get busy”? Then at the exit we get a person who uses the Network only for entertainment. But this is not good, both for a person and for the Network, which is choking in tons of useless information.
')
No, I agree that there are many good resources on the Web that help interested people to learn something new, learn more about the old, etc. But most of the resources are designed to just eat our time.
For example, so popular now social network "vKontakte". The idea of the developers is clear to me and deserves approval. But when a person begins to give Contact for 8 (!) Hours a day, this is already a clinic. At the moment when I write these lines, 2 of my comrades look at photos of friends of friends of friends of friends and finish, judging by experience, in 2-3 hours of the night. And then in the morning they will start discussing it among themselves. That is, a brilliant idea essentially turned into a bunch of absolute idiots!
And there are a lot of such examples.

Of course, the Network is freedom (although lately there has been more and more doubts about this ). And it's easier to ignore something bad or wrong and keep silent than to engage in a non-productive dispute. And everything written here is not intended to offend or offend anyone. These are just some reflections.
