Second look through the prism

When I wrote about the prism from Mozilla. And then, having appreciated the convenience of Adobe Air under Windows and tired of waiting for its counterpart under Linux (Sorry! After meeting with RMS, you only need to speak GNU / Linux!) I decided to look at the analogues. Immediately I remembered Prism 'a. As it turned out her assembly is already under all three popular axes, which of course is very nice against the backdrop of promises from Adobe.

Installation is trivial, or rather it simply is not. You start the binaries in the console and rejoice, but not for long because you do not have to look at anything. If Air provides programmers with a whole environment on which to write good programs like twhirl , then the prism can only launch the same Firefox simply devoid of all interface elements.

You know, even half a year ago I would have been satisfied. In part, it is more convenient for constantly used programs rather than to keep firelight, which is also not very merciful with memory, but after the release of air from adobe ... No, this is not that. And if Mozilla does not finish its product, then I, frankly, poorly understand who he gave up.

The only application I have now is a quick call to Google Notebook on a hotkey. And this I did rather from the desire to at least somehow use interesting conceptual software.
