Steve Jobs's recent comments on the iPhone and Flash were covered in news headlines. Flash
will not be added to the iPhone, as it was said, “it's not good enough for the Apple iPhone.”
Alternatives for the iPhone
are vigorously
debated . And after all the reasons, most games and videos on the network require Adobe Flash. Apple just can't ignore it (or can it?)
Robert Scoble has
written about the rumors that Apple is working on SVG support on the iPhone. This should definitely be a positive and interesting thing for the web.
')
SVG , which stands for Scalable Vector Graphics (Scalable Vector Graphics), is an open standard for W3C (as opposed to proprietary Adobe Flash).
SVG is now popular in programs for mobile devices. Probably, Apple will get even more opportunities from the widespread distribution of SVG in the network. SVG already supports Opera, Firefox and Safari.
The iPhone has already given the mobile web a lot of good lucid things, maybe with SVG too. We will hope.
