Today, March 5, 2008, an open lecture of RMS was held in Moscow. Unfortunately, I missed the two previous days that Richard had been in our glorious capital. Magnificent, as usual, simple to the point of madness, confident and self-righteous, Mr. Stallman was broadcast to the public for free software, the FSF Foundation, against DRM and Redmond products. He joked rarely, but aptly. Occasionally he smiled his not at all American smile after another sip of life-giving extract from a special cup replenished from a teapot. I sat far from the podium, so excuse me.

We learned that freedom is great, that there is no democracy in the world, and that DRM will soon capture our mind and enslave our feelings. From the stage sounded magical «Freedom !!! Freedom !!! Freedom !!! ”, and the people smiled (well, they love freedom, of course), as well as a freebie, as it turned out. RMS said a few words about making money on free software, people especially remember the story about the donate $ 1 button in player programs and book readers. As it turned out, he can earn, and he knows a lot about our wooden rubles. =)

What are you bothering me here? I sign only for the bribe: 100r.

Yes! I am for the freedom to choose souvenirs. What? No - for 10 rubles I have nothing. Prices start at 50.

Nobody buys anything else. It's time for me to throw home ...

Bye children, I love and kiss everyone ... Your Richie.
You shouldn’t be angry with Stallman, he also has to live: what a thin jacket there is, and in the shirt of his long-known hole, and darn socks, poor thing ... Oh ... What a cute toddler =)
I ripped off the autograph from RMS with the signature and the wish “Happy Hacking !!!”. I noticed that the guru had not been writing with his hands for a long time. The FSF, “Warning DRM” and “GNU / Linux” stickers were also stolen from the table. The latter were in a hurry lost. More photos and a GPL2 autographed scan in the near future.
Additions and amendments from BmWYes, indeed, Richard spent a lot of time on services that provide some kind of functionality on the side. Here is a well-known example - GoogleDocs. Of course, it is convenient, I will not say why - everyone understands what I mean, but there is a similar product, like many other projects of the same kind. We cannot study the internal structure of these complexes. Even if the source will be open, but in order to be able to test, modify, debug a software package / scripts, you need your own server, some software, etc. Consequently, additional resources are indirectly spent. And this is nothing more than the restriction of full, free use. (Nakleechka DRM flaunts a long time on the system unit =))
