At the games earned more than the music

The Entertainment Retailers' Association (ERA) officially stated that in the UK they earned significantly more on video games than on music sales: £ 1.7 billion versus £ 1.4 billion (2007 data are taken into account). Most of the money, as before, is received from video / DVD - £ 2.16 billion.

The growing popularity of iTunes and digital distribution in general has a negative effect on sales of conventional CDs. Now games will join the worst enemies of music stores. Of course, music is still in the lead by the number of units sold, but interactive entertainment took the lead in terms of revenues. This is largely due to the high cost of toys. For example, Call of Duty 4, Burnout Paradise or Assassin's Creed for PS3 costs about £ 40.
