But this is not the limit. Now Google is working to increase access speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second !

Patrick Piechett called it the “next generation of the Internet,” and explained that increasing speed is part of Google’s long-term strategy that is “obsessed with increasing Internet speed.”

More speed leads to improved performance of web applications, which are relied on by Google. Information and content from the Internet should be transferred to the computer at about the same speed at which it can read data from the local HDD.

According to Google Fiber's tariff plans, fiber optics per gigabit are now offered for $ 70 per month with no traffic restrictions. It is much faster and cheaper than the absolute majority of American Internet service providers. It should be borne in mind that in the homeland of the Internet access to the Internet is much more expensive than in Russia and Ukraine, so for America such prices - $ 70 per gigabit, without traffic restrictions - this is a real revolution.

Basic 5 Mbit / s access is provided without any subscription fees. The Google Fiber project was announced in July 2012, and the first houses in Kansas City were hooked up on November 13, 2012.
