Fish on Wheels: self-propelled aquarium with a goldfish based on Arduino + Beagleboard

Recently, Studio Diip presented its project, which should appeal to both technology lovers and animal lovers. Especially goldfish.

The fact is that this company has created a self-propelled aquarium, which is controlled by the fish itself. True, it is unlikely that the fish consciously moves its vehicle, but the essence does not change - the tailed owner controls the aquarium.

At the top of the aquarium, a camera is installed, which transfers the image to the control center, which is served by the Beagleboard. The computer processes the information and transmits a signal to the Arduino, from where the “self-propelled” control is made. In this case, the aquarium moves in the direction where the fish swims.

If the fish swam to the left side of the aquarium, it moves to the left. Accordingly, if the fish chose the right side of the aquarium, it moves to the right. Everything is logical.

The project itself was called Fish on Wheels, and its goal, according to the creators, is “to release fish all over the world.” Well, that's at a maximum. And at least - the project team was amused, this time, and propiaril their company - this is two.
