EeePC in Russia by March 25

We are glad to inform all fans of cool small computers (and they themselves are glad to be the first to know about it!) That the Asus Eee PC, in absentia, will become available in Russia no later than March 25th in Eldorado and IT shops. The price of the model 701 gizmo, with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of flash drive on board, will be symbolic 9999 rubles. Full specifications can be found on the website of the online store "Eldorado". In the same place, starting from Wednesday night, Muscovites will be able to pre-order , with delivery on the same 20th day. Of course, the warehouses are not rubber and all may not be enough ...

While we are talking only about the version with the preinstalled Russian Windows XP, the timing of the start of the delivery of the version of the device from Linux is still not known.

Let me remind you that at the CeBIT 2008 exhibition being held in Hannover these days, Asus officially unveiled a new Eee PC model number 900 (read here and here ).
