It turns out that in her PC you can safely install a more powerful processor and get a more productive machine, spending only $ 30 on the upgrade. How it was? Very simple. With the help of mmtool utility, you can see which types of processor the PC supports. Of all the options, the most affordable was the Celeron ULV PM 753 1.2G 2M L2.
After installing the processor and restarting the laptop, the new processor was determined automatically. True, by default, I chose the frequency of 840 MHz for operation. Fortunately, it can easily be accelerated with utilities like eeectl.
