Despite several negative news from the Bitcoin market, the rate of cryptocurrency still remains high, and the cryptocurrency itself is consistently popular. Needless to say, there is still a mass of people who want to make a little coin for themselves. But the complexity of the mining is already so high that at home you can naginit yourself, perhaps, cookies for tea.
And mining itself acquires a truly industrial scale. This, in particular, is confirmed by a new project: a data center of 10 megawatts, all of whose equipment will be involved in mining.
')
The company is building a new data center, KnC Miner, which is developing cryptocurrency mining equipment. Construction site - Boden, Sweden. Remember the
article about the Lulea Facebook data center , almost beyond the Arctic Circle? So, the “cryptocurrency” data center is being built not far away, just 15 kilometers from the data center of the social network.
A new facility is under construction not from scratch, it will be located in the building of the former helicopter hangar, a huge building modernized by new owners. Equipment in the data center will be installed client, but bought by miners from the company itself KnC Miner.

Now this company creates specialized equipment, in which the center of everything and everyone is specialized integrated circuits, ASIC - Application Specific Integrated Circuits. According to company representatives, in just half a year such equipment was sold for $ 75 million.
Now KnC Miner is entering a new level, intending to offer “clouds” for mining cryptocurrency. And since this type of equipment "eats" a lot of energy, it was decided to place the data center in a cold region. A Swedish Lulea - almost an ideal place to work data center.
Construction has already begun, and the plan will continue for several months (the size of the new data center, of course, is not as big as in the case of Facebook, and therefore the time is less). However, the company is already negotiating with local authorities about the construction of larger facilities this year.
