Virgin Atlantic uses Google Glass and smart watches to work with passengers.

It seems that after the transition of Google Glass from the “Glass Explorer” stage to the large-scale production stage, this gadget will be far from being only geeks. Already, the data points are going to be used by data center employees , already used by police officers and even airport workers.

For example, Virgin Atlantic launched a six-week trial passenger service project using Google Glass and Sony SmartWatch 2.

Currently, only those employees of the company who work with business class passengers are involved in the project. Employees of Virgin Atlantic with the help of all these gadgets receive information about the passenger, including his name, surname, as well as all flight data relating to a particular person. In the future, if this project shows itself from the good side, the company's employees will also receive information about the preferences of passengers (in particular, meals).

It is worth noting that now the project works only in one airport - London Heathrow. If everything goes smoothly, the program will be expanded to other airports, as well as passengers of all categories, not just VIPs.

Probably, other companies will follow the course of the project, and if Virgin Atlantic succeeds, gadgets like Google Glass and SmartWatch will be used by other airlines, and not only by them.
