February 11 protest against NSA mass surveillance

In January 2012, a successful protest against SOPA and PIPA was the largest in the history of the Internet. Now we are faced with another significant threat - mass surveillance, which calls into question the fact that we live in a free society.

In honor of the celebration of the victory over SOPA and in memory of one of our leaders, Aaron Schwarz , we planned a day of protest against mass surveillance that will take place on February 11.

Together we can overcome the forces that invent different ways to observe, collect and analyze all our actions in the digital world. Together we will make it clear that this behavior is not appropriate for a democratic government. Together, if we stand our ground, we will win this fight.

The protest has already been supported by Reddit, O'Reilly, Wikia, Tumblr, Mozilla and many other large companies and sites, as well as many film industry figures.



At the moment, more than 6000 sites participate in the promotion. Anyone who wishes to support the protest is invited to place a banner. The banner script and the banner itself can be obtained through Github . The source codes and resources of the main campaign site are also available.
