The creators of the Godot engine have published the source code under the free MIT license, so now anyone can use it to create their own 2D and 3D games. The authors of the program claim that Godot provides a rich set of functions and a new approach to game development, which, in aggregate, “allows lone developers and groups to work more efficiently than ever.” They also note the simplicity and ease of mastering the program: the programming language is similar to Python. To date, with the help of Godot created more than a dozen games, they are shown in the screenshots above. There are demos for review.
