Good day.
This post is an offer to do a crowd-translation of the excellent
Code Club course on
Scratch and the basics of programming for children 9-11 years old (approximately).
The course is built on a couple of dozen hour projects, in each of which children are invited to develop a small game.
I really liked the content, I translated the first two lectures, and I will translate further if no one gets ahead of me, but it would help everyone in a reasonable time to get the Russian version of a good interesting course, and then calmly work with the children on a quality curriculum.
')
The translation itself is done on a
githaba , you need to fork the project, take the original en-GB version and translate the Markdown files (.md) of the corresponding lesson. It is desirable to keep the original design style, in theory, based on the .md files, they will then make localized versions of the course in html, in the form of a site. After the end of the translation - make a pull-request to the original project.
To organize the interaction, in order not to take a translation that someone has already begun, I suggest synchronizing topics in
Google Docs . If you take a topic for translation, make a new line in the table to show that the topic has already been taken in the process. Translation of one lesson takes 2 hours.
The first two semesters are Scratch. The third is
html . The fourth is
Python . Whoever has the desire - I can translate these courses, I think, will not disappear, high-quality materials in a simple, interesting and accessible form for children - this will be very useful for our entire education.
It is also a good reason to understand Git and how to participate in open source projects.
If you have any suggestions or questions - I will be glad to answer in the comments.
Thank!
