Hello to all! On Habré, I have more than 5 years and managed to notice a lot of startups that were announced here and managed to grow up to serious commercial projects.
I always wanted to repeat their path and the consequence was the launch of
Raindrop.io and the
publication of the announcement .

Your subsequent response and interest greatly inspired me, and the comments and ideas determined the future path of the project.
About what he became and what he achieved, I want to tell in this post.
Briefly about the project
Raindrop.io is a smart bookmark service. The point is that by saving the link you also save the content associated with it. This applies to articles, photos, embedded videos, presentations, etc.
')
The project has existed since November last year, 4,700 users are currently registered and more than 60,000 bookmarks in 12,000 collections have been saved.
Habr attracted a total of more than 10,000 unique.
It was lit up on Layfkhakera with return in 5 000 unik.
I managed to get an offer from one private investor. But as long as I think the project does not require financial investments. At this stage I will try to bring the service to a decent level, but we'll see.
Innovations
Now your collections are always available in the sidebar and you can drag and drop bookmarks between them. For each individual collection, you can customize the icon and display mode: tile or list.
Subscriptions . Public collections can now not only subscribe, but also be stylized thematically as in the screenshot below:

Search Search by title, description, tags, site or bookmark type. Simply list the criteria in any order:

Import and export bookmarks . From any browser and some services (Google Bookmarks, Delicious, Kippt). Export in Netscape format, which also understands your browser and the listed services.
New clipper . Now he is super fast. Since page recognition occurs on the client side. Therefore, I highly recommend adding bookmarks in this way.
Sources for all browsers are available
on Github (plus a page parser).

As well as tags, typography customization and minor usability improvements.
What's next?
- Android client
- Expansion of the functionality of the clipper (save the selected text / photo on the page).
- Nested collections
- Backup to Dropbox / Google Drive
