Bill Gates: "Competitors are trying to castrate Vista"
The developers of Windows Vista are protecting the new operating system from the onslaught of competitors who are “trying to pull it apart,” said Microsoft’s head Bill Gates.
“Competitors are trying to force regulatory structures to castrate our products. However, attempts to do it failed. I would not say that the antitrust authorities had a strong influence on the development of the operating system, ”Gates said the Associated Press .
It is known that Microsoft has made some changes to the new version of its operating system, submitting to the decisions of the EU antitrust authorities. In particular, the changes affected some of the OS protection options that Symantec and McAfee representatives complained about.
