Ibn Sine was called upon for help in difficult situations when other doctors signed off on their own impotence.
Once a woman was brought to him. She was the wife of a famous doctor, but no one could help her.
Her throat was blocked and she could not swallow food for several weeks and was very weak.
The master told her:
- Now you drink some milk.
The patient answered:
- It's impossible. All I'm trying to drink instantly flies out.
She said this with great confidence. But the master's confidence was incomparably greater. A sick woman was given a bottle of milk. Taking a sip, she immediately with a force rejected him.
- You see! I warned you! - she said.
Master insisted:
- But this is ridiculous. I am sure that now you can swallow some milk. Try it.
The woman made another attempt, the milk was immediately rejected. But it seemed to her that she still swallowed a small portion. The master smiled, encouraged her and said:
“I am sure that before you leave this place, you will drink this whole bottle of milk.”
It was said with great force. The woman, inspired by the Master's confidence and her own success, gradually drank the rest of the milk.
A source-
A person does not fully know their capabilities.
How often do we say to ourselves “That I can’t”, “This is beyond my strength”, “This is for cool companies, not for one person”?
And often it is in such extreme situations, when life forces you, you see that you are capable of much more.
But it may not be worthwhile to wait for such extreme sports in order to only do what you can do, but, as it were, “do not allow” yourself.
