The event was widely publicized after unsuspecting developers of several candy games in the title. Apple sent out requests to remove its applications from the store. In response, the group of brave men refused to put up with the current state of affairs. They staged a Candy Jam - an event whose goal is to try to post as many games with the word “candy” in the title as possible. The action was caused by a protest against the copyright system in general and against the aggressive monetization of King - in particular.
