Good afternoon, Habr!
Today, as part of a series of posts on the basis of the international exhibition of consumer electronics CES 2014, we will tell you more about the new digital cameras presented by Samsung, of which there are already seven of them.

')
And we will begin with the flagship of this year - the latest generation Samsung NX30 digital camera. Improved 20.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS matrix, NX AF System II function for faster and more accurate autofocus performance, 1/8000 shutter speed and Continuous Shooting continuous shooting function (up to 9 frames per second) - these are the characteristics that distinguish the new camera .
Inclined electronic viewfinder (XGA, resolution 2,359K pixels) with the ability to rotate 80 degrees makes it easier to find new shooting angles and perspectives, even if the object itself is blocking something. The 3-inch AMOLED touch screen, which rotates 180 degrees horizontally, and 270 degrees vertically, helps to take pictures from any point, and, if desired, to create self-portraits.

Samsung NX30 is a new stage in the development of the company's smart-cameras. It supports NFC and Wi-Fi protocols, and there are a number of functions for transferring the footage to mobile devices. Tag & Go allows you to instantly transfer pictures to any smartphone or tablet with NFC support, the Photo Beam function is able to send both pictures and videos — just bring the camera to the device, MobileLink can transfer several pictures at once (up to 4 at a time) to any Smart devices, and the AutoShare function does back up photos automatically on the user's smartphone or tablet. Remote Viewfinder Remote Viewfinder Pro allows you to use your mobile device to control the camera: indicators such as shutter speed and aperture can be manually set remotely.

The new generation DRIMeIV Image Processor processor and a powerful DSP chip provide Full HD / 60p quality of shooting photos and videos. The high sensitivity of the ISO 100-25600 camera will allow you to get decent shots in low light conditions, and the OIS Duo image stabilization technology will capture clear images of objects in motion. Thanks to the OLED Color function, photos can boast a good contrast.

The popular cloud storage service Dropbox (for Russia) is preinstalled on the NX30 - this is the first camera on the market with the ability to directly send pictures to Dropbox. By the way, direct delivery of photos to Flickr will be available for a number of other countries.
It didn’t do without the support of new-fashioned shooting of 3D photos and videos: the camera can do this in conjunction with the Samsung 45mm F1.8 2D / 3D lens. You can play the resulting “volumetric” content on compatible 3D devices (for example, on 3D TVs and Samsung monitors).

Samsung NX30 features make it a good solution for operators who need a compact but powerful camera. In addition to recording in Full HD quality with stereo sound, the model is equipped with a standard 3.5 mm microphone input. The level of the recorded sound is displayed on the camera screen, so that the user can monitor the parameters directly while shooting. In addition, they can be set and manually to achieve the optimal quality of the audio track. Thanks to the HDMI Live Streaming function with Full HD / 30p output, the camera can be connected to a display, recorder or other devices that support the HDMI interface.

Intuitive control is one of the main features of the Samsung NX30. Two custom modes Custom Modes are selected using the mode dial, moreover, the user can create another 10 of their own presets that are stored in the camera's memory. The toggle wheel also provides access to the most frequently used modes, such as continuous shooting, bracketing, and self-portrait timer.
The Samsung i-Function gives you instant access to settings such as shutter speed and aperture. And the new i-Function Plus system allows experienced photographers to reprogram the control keys.

The new Samsung lens 16-50 mm F2.0-2.8 S ED OIS is the first premium S-series lens. It is characterized by a high aperture (F2.0 for 16 mm; F2.8 for 50 mm) - this is the most high-aperture lens with a 3x zoom among devices of this class. The lens is protected from moisture and dust.

The lens is equipped with an ultra-precision Ultra-Precise Stepping Motor (UPSM) motor. It provides three times higher accuracy of focus control. This lens has an optical stabilization system, three aspherical lenses (ASP), two low dispersion lenses (ED) and two eXreme High Refractive (XHR) high refractive lenses. ASP lenses eliminate spherical aberrations, ED greatly reduces chromatic aberrations, and XHRs make the lens light and compact.

Samsung GALAXY Camera 2, which replaced the previous model GALAXY Camera, which won many prestigious awards last year, was another bright novelty of the exhibition. Its advantages include a quad-core 1.6 GHz processor, Android 4.3, a 2000 mAh battery, as well as an intuitive interface and extremely simple navigation.

GALAXY Camera 2 exceeds the camera of any smartphone due to the 21-fold optical zoom and 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor. It is equipped with a 4.8-inch HD Super Clear Touch LCD screen. Quad-core 1.6 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM have a positive effect on the speed of the camera.

Like its predecessor, GALAXY Camera 2 is an ideal device for amateur photographers, who prefer to take pictures, immediately edit and send the resulting pictures on the social network. You can share your photos using the functions based on Wi-Fi and NFC protocols: the same Tag & Go, Photo Beam, AutoShare and Mobile Link, which are in the flagship NX30. Not without a remote viewfinder Remote Viewfinder, through which you can control the camera from the screen of a smartphone. A nice bonus to GALAXY Camera 2 will be 50 GB of space on the Dropbox cloud storage service, available to the user for a period of 2 years.

The Smart Mode feature will allow users to select one of 28 preset shooting modes. If it is difficult for a novice photographer to decide on a mode choice, the Smart Mode Suggest feature will help him, which will help him choose the optimal mode. She analyzes the shooting conditions, including illumination and the location of objects in the frame, and recommends the most appropriate mode.
