Entertaining layout

Recently, a colleague from the neighboring department asked me to help him with the layout of one block. He wanted to understand the basics of semantic layout and make this block neat and beautiful. However, the block turned out to be far from easy to typeset - it combined rounded corners and gradient boarders. I sent a colleague to impose spreadsheets, and I propose to arrange master classes, who can offer the most optimal solution to this problem.

My solution contains 10 containers and 6 exclusion rules for IE 6 (it’s not very optimal)
UPD: I describe the terms of reference:

• The block is expandable both in width and height (depending on the text)
• Corners and borders are inserted by pictures.
• The content of the block title and text

Results

So it seems the ideas have run out, and you can now announce the results.
As I said, my option turned out to be not at all optimal, moreover, it requires the completion of expression for IE 6.
The fact that worthy solutions were presented was, after all, pleased:

• rmaksim offered this option , as well as two of its options , the latter using sprites, IMHO is very elegant
• Dmitriykikkas referred to Lebedev . Of course, they have code that works everywhere, but in my opinion it’s not easy to understand how this is done
• hlomzik also suggested a beautiful version , but I’m confused by the lower div with the text, but it seems you can just replace it with empty containers painlessly =)
